Us Congress Climate Change Policy

answer

Climate change has remained a debatable issue as we entered the new millennium. The UN and other environmental bodies in the world have made it clear that human activities are to be held responsible for global warming phenomena that have lead to change in climate. The US is the leading emitter of green houses which cause global warming. Failure to ratify to the Kyoto protocol by the US was seen as a conspiracy and lack of seriousness in   mitigating the problem. But there are various legislations in the congress aimed at addressing the problem. (Legget, 2007)
