Upgrading Of the Network Infrastructure from 10BASE T to 100BASE T
Following the advancements in technology, each institution is bound to change it operations to match the latest technological advancements. The current bus topology adopted in the Ojuice Company is experiencing a lot of problems and customer inconvenience thus calling for the need of a better network connectivity system. The problems of congestion in serving clients have been witnessed; whereby two clients cannot be served simultaneously using the same bus. There have been many collisions in the computer networking using the bus topology in the company; thus causing customer’s dissatisfaction. Some of the major limitations experienced from the use of the bus topology include; high maintenance costs, high rates of collisions, and slow data transfer rate. On the other hand, the company will be required to update its system to 100BaseT and then to Star Topology. This will ensure efficiency in data topology as well as reducing inconveniences caused by the bus topology. There are a number of processes which will be encountered in the upgrading of the network. Despite the intensive procedures the company will be able to celebrate the increased efficiencies in the new network connectivity (Tanenbaum, 1996).
