Stem Cells are cells found in the human body whose specific functions have not yet been determined but have the ability to transform into specialized cells. The term ‘stem’ is due to the fact that every body cell is derived or stems from these cells. These stem cells remain dormant and only develop into specialized cells upon receiving signals to do so. Stem cells are grouped according to where they originate. Researchers are interested in them because of the question of why people die; get sick or old and why some wounds do not get healed. Therapies of stem cell have been discovered and today being used to treat diseases.
