Sociology is developed from the word “societus” meaning society. It is one of the social sciences that study people’s behavior, lives, and their relationship with the broader society. Sociology therefore stresses on the proper study of human relations and behavior.
The term sociology became a discipline in the late 18th century to study human social response to a fast growing world. Under this study, a closer look into a particular social problem will be identified, and an intersection between race, class and gender will be focused on.
