Tourism is one of the most growing sectors of the world economy, with millions of people crisscrossing the world as tourists every year (Hall & Lew 2009).  In the last few decades globalization has increased the number of travelers. In the last two decades tourism has grown and developed beyond certain sectors that were previously considered to be the largest in the world such as mining and traditional agriculture. Tourism provides more jobs in the world than any other sector of the economy.  The growing importance of tourism in the world has become a focus of many governments trying to make it an important part of their economy.
