The discipline of organizational behaviour has in the recent received substantial attention from the various stakeholders to the corporate world. This has been much evident in the 21st century, whereby paramount developments have been experienced in the corporate sector following the advancements in globalization, liberalization of markets as well as growth in world literacy. These phenomenons have led to increased attention on quality and competition in the business sector, thus calling for better management approaches. In response to this case, business organizations are expected to ensure admirable organizational behaviors that will definitely guarantee their effectiveness and success in the market. Many scholars working in the discipline of organizational behavior have clearly demonstrated a strong relationship between organizational psychology and organizational behaviour. In this case, the ideas and knowledge established from organizational psychology have been of great importance in enhancing good organizational behavior. This has further enhanced smooth running and efficiencies in business organizations in that organizational issues entailing employees are effectively dealt with. This paper will discuss and analyze the role of psychology in development of the discipline of organizational behaviour.
