Revolutionary War

ANSWER

Any revolution is marked by a series of violence which is aimed at resisting something that the people feel are opposed to their general goodness. A revolution usually follows a repression or an intolerable demand from the ruling class or the government against the people.  The American Revolution is not an exemption to these characteristics of a revolution.  England had been engaged in several year wars and there was need to recover most of the finances which they had incurred in the course of the war.  There were some Americans who had participated in the war against the crown and they inspired by what their experience to oppose oppression. The number of taxes which were imposed by England on the colonists in a bid to recover their loss was oppression to the people which inspired them to rise against the crown. (Habert, 2006)
