The time factor is the center of focus for this study. The time spent by an employee at work and the time spent at home or personal activities is compared to determine how an employee can engage in their jobs as well as achieving utmost satisfaction. Poor engagement and lower satisfaction of the staff at work is attributed to the poor work-life balance (WLB) where the majority of the employees get seen to spend much time at work with heavy workloads that causes them to overlook their personal obligation (Kaliannan, Perumal, & Dorasamy, 2016). Not all employees showcase poor WLB hence showcases existence of other primal factors that causes the existence of poor WLB. Fostering employee engagement and job satisfaction through a balanced Work life balance is, therefore, critical to ensuring productivity and general performance of the organizations.
