Racism in the Criminal Justice System
Criminal justice systems have for long been used in the control and correction of all citizens involved on crimes in the U.S. The systems have been associated with racism which is much biased towards the blacks. This begins from the point a suspect is arrested to the time he is released from the systems to interact with other population freely. In the practices of legal matters, blacks have been with many racism hurdles in the criminal justices system.
It is due to the above reasons that this paper would like to explore and investigate reasons which may lead to augmentation of the imprisonment/jailing among the blacks than Whites and Hispanics. In tackling the problem, the criminal justices system would thus be viewed in three sections which comprises of the court systems, police systems and the correctional systems.
