Description

This Project Initiation Document (PID) focuses on an ICT project to be implemented at The University of Sydney (USYD) Business School.  The project name is:  Integrating massive open online courses (MOOCs) in the University of Sydney Business School. Generally, MOOCs are type of e-learning courses that are offered to learners through internet technology. Students can enroll for MOOCs from different parts of the world at zero cost. This document discusses the various components of a PID, providing relevant facts and explanations whenever necessary.  This project is sponsored by the USYD Business School and is scheduled to start on 1 August 2015.  The first phase of the project is expected to take six months, with full implementation scheduled for 24 months. The estimated fixed start-up capital is $100000 and the estimated total cost is $4 million. The MOOC provider for this project is Coursera.
