ANSWER THE FOLLOWING:
COMMENT ON IF WHAT IS STATED IN THE MISSION AND VISION IS TRULY PRACTICED. (BELOW I WROTE THE MISSION/ OBJECTIVE. DON’T WRITE THE MISSION AND OBJECTIVE IN YOUR PAPER AGAIN)
Look at the organizational structure (TO-table of organization or organizational chart) and roles within the organization (I WANT YOU TO MAKE UP WITH THIS ONE). COMMENT ON THE ADVANTGES AND THE DISADVANTAGES OF THE STRUCTURE IN YOU ORGANIZATION. Pay attention to where nursing is in the organizational table and DISSCUSS IF IT IS ON A LEVEL EQUAL TO OTHER DEPARTMENTS.
I work in Bridgeport Healthcare in Connecticut. You do no re-write the Mission and Vision. (You may also keep the name of my facility anonymous. Just write a nursing home in Connecticut.
Distinguishing ourselves as the foremost innovators of healthcare service to the community.
Objective: (Our facility use objective instead of Vision. I think they are pretty much the same.)
Here is my opinion which you can use. If I will comment if the mission is truly practiced. I would say no. I want you to comment to be respectful with your writing. I say no because the facility does not provide necessary or basic equipments in the unit. Each unit does not have blood pressure machine and pulse oximeter to check the oxygen saturation. It’s the nurses who provide these things and leave it in the unit for the following nurse. When I was new, I was shocked coz some floors do have an old manual machine and some floors or unit do not have it. This is something basic that our facility should provide. (You can make up something if you want too and I suggest that).
The vision/objective is not truly practiced because all the resident s are complaining of the food. All the residents are complaining that food is bad so most of them order outside. It’s like the kitchen is just preparing foods for the residents… foods which I guess the kitchen people would not eat for themselves. That’s what the residents are telling me. They complained about it already during meeting but nothing changed. In term of quality healthcare, I think it’s not truly practiced because the staffing or nurse patient ratio is not safe for the nurse and patient. During 7-3 and 3-11 the ration is 1 nurse to 30 reisdents. 11-7 shift the ratio is 1:60 residents. Employee commitment, I have observed continuous hiring from the facility meaning they cannot work for the facility for some issues. Some complain that sometimes they are getting bounced check. And there’s this new nurse that did not get pain on time. Also last snow storm, majority did not get paid for the hours they worked. So nurses and can are like saying that they wanna leave. (YOU CAN MAKE UP IF YOU WANT BUT BE COURTEOUS WITH YOUR WRITING)

It is well acknowledged that vision and mission statements are key elements of an organization’s strategic planning. The vision sets out the long-term objectives that an organization wants to achieve. In most cases, visions are inspirational in nature. On the other hand, mission spells out the short-term objectives and it often involves words such as support, involve, contribute, provide and promote. For instance, the mission statement of a health care organization could be to promote well being. This paper examines whether or not vision and mission statements are appreciated in many organizations.
