According to the New York Times on Oct 28, 2010on the issue of sustainability, Dubai has faced severe environmental problems after its growth. Basically, Dubai growth has been the most sparkling in the whole of Middle East but has been facing a lot of environmental crisis. On this basis, this country has developed at a very increasing rate in the whole of Middle East which has encouraged investors to come and invest here. Additionally, Dubai has been recognized for it recent economic developments not only in Middle East but in the whole world. As a result of this high rate of development, Dubai has been faced with the problem of environmental degradation especially lack of adequate energy to run its industries. This phenomenon has affected the sustainability of this country in one way or the other. Certainly, despite the fact that this country lies on vast oil reserves, it is currently running out of energy sources which could support its rich lifestyles. On the other hand, Dubai has been on the front line in treating sea water in order to feed the existing taps and fountains which has drastically increased the sanity levels in this country (Alderman 1).
