Leadership defines the action of leading a group of people or an institution such as a business organization. A leader is a person who is entrusted with the duty of leading others. Leadership can be contextualized in different realms including power, motivational forces, management abilities, values, spirituality, and many others (Tittemore 46). It is one of the most complex topics in management because it includes a wide range of issues. Leadership is all about choices and situations, which implies that one can be a cooperative leader in one instance, but turn to dictatorial leadership in another. Therefore, I believe it is difficult to identify the best leadership philosophy. However, this does not mean that individuals should not form their leadership philosophy or beliefs about their leadership qualities because different leaders will react differently in a similar situation. The critical elements that define my leadership philosophy are discussed below.
