OSHA Secretary Lays Out Five Green Reform Principles: Research and discuss one of the five principles.

In December 2009, Occupational Safety and Health Administration secretary, David Michaels, took part in a workshop to address safety issues in green jobs. The secretary addressed the workshop by laying down five green reform principles that would help to ensure the safety of employees in the green or environmental friendly industry. The five principles comprise of engagement between employers and employees on green jobs safety issues, enhancement in chemical safety, increasing worker’s contribution in the workplace, development on OSHA standards, and prevention through design. This paper discusses the last principle of prevention through design in details (Gibb, 2010).
