In Australia, most of the work related injuries affect the employees more than the employers and own account workers in the hair dressing industry and other sectors. Both groups have diverse roles that they are meant to play in occupational safety and health. In this work, we are going to look at the work-related injuries associated with the hair dressing industry and available statistics will also be discussed. The role of each of the two parties according to the occupational safety and health will then be analyzed. The recommendation on improvement of workers’ safety will be given and the participation of the workers will also be looked at. In essence, this work will be studying work related injuries and how the role of employees and employers is important in preventing those injuries in hair dressing industry.
