Food borne illness also referred to as food borne diseases refers to a number of diseases that result from consumption of a particular food.


Food borne diseases are caused by different pathogens including salmonella, parasites, and many others. The common symptoms of food-borne illnesses include abdominal crump, nausea, fever, dehydration, diarrhea, vomiting, and many other signs.  If not treated k, these symptoms may lead to development of other complications which can lead to loss of life (Winton and Kate, 1999).
