Associations are important part of American society. Whether professional, religious or social associations, they play important role in sustenance of American society. Associations bring like-minded people together to pursue a common goal. For example, associations like American Library Associations (ALA) bring together librarians who share a common goal. They provide an organized way for people pursuing common goals to come together, supplement each others’ effort, and achieve what they want. Therefore, associations are important in creation and substance of American societies.
