Implementing CSR policies is beneficial for company’s bottom line. Corporations are under pressure to adopt socially responsible actions, activities, policies and processes. This arises from a growing consumers’ awareness of the social responsibilities of business organizations. The 21st century marketplace is defined by among other things the need for consciousness, ethics, and respect of human rights. The market is also favouring corporations that are economically, environmentally, and socially active and showing responsibility towards each of these aspects. In addition, regulatory and other public policies have also required adherence to social responsibility in all the above aspects. Research evidence shows that there is a strong correlation between social performance and financial performance of an organisation, which essentially means that corporate social responsibility has an impact on a company’s bottom line. This study examines the relationship between CSR policies and a company’s bottom line.
