How Technology Has Affected Communications in Organizations
In the last two decade, organizations have experienced dramatic change in the communication process as a result of new technology. Communication theories argue that the introduction of technology changes the pattern of communication process changing workers attitudes and the way they share knowledge. Dramatic change in technology and its consequent penetration to all spheres of life and operation of the organization have impacted positively and negatively in the process of communication in organizations. While technology improves the way different members of the organization can communicate while still in their own office, it has been argued that this reduces the interpersonal communication between different members of the organization.
