Hospital acquired infections are a major burden to healthcare sector today. They contribute to the majority of hospitalized cases. While hospital infections haves been studied at hospital set and health care workers identified as  major conduits of bacteria, the effect of  washing their uniforms at hospital or at home has not been well studied. Hospital staff uniforms have been identified as major conduits of bacteria at health care set up and at home. This study will explore the effectiveness of home laundering in killing hospital acquired bacterial considering the most hospitals allow staff to launder their uniforms at home.
