HIV/AIDS spread in Canadian Aboriginal Community
Canadian HIB/AIDS community-based organization began back in 1980s. It was an initiative within the community, as an initial effort to respond spread of the infections which was first confirmed in 1982 in those transfused with contaminated blood and with the gay male population (Roy, 2001).
Hence coming up of the movement to curb and prevent further spread of the infections. The Canadian Aboriginal Community main objective during its start is to facilitate community people with epidemiology science and surveillance information. The group representatives participated in discussions on approaches and methods of collecting epidemiology’s of HIV/AIDS. In 1999 due to technical scientific language they were determined to develop a user friendly manual and its distribution completed in 2000 (Roy, 2001).
