Description

The Nuremberg code written in 1946 was aimed at acting as guidance on protecting humans used for research purposes. A lot of deception is likely to occur where by people are not forewarned on the potential consequences of the experiment. Controls are used for many psychological and medical experiments. Blind methods should be used for a control that is true. Many of the participants are not scientists so it is very easy to lie to them about the consequences and deliberately put them at risk. The three code of ethics used as guide lines are; unless a research is of viable use and there is no other alternative, deception should not be used by psychologists
