Ethics and legal principle apply in different areas of life and are meant to assist members of the society to live according to what is expected of them. Different individuals in the society are likely to act in different ways. While some will be good, others are likely to be aggressive and therefore to achieve equality in the society, ethical and legal principles define what is expected of every member of the society in their relationship to the other person. Ethics and laws are similar and at the same time different in many ways but both play the same role of ensuring that individuals do what is good to them and to the rest of the society. Ethical law therefore represents the intersection between law and ethics and brings together the aspects of both law and ethics.
