My fellow citizens, it is important that we act to reduce our ecological footprint and do it in the most practical and sustainable ways. It is time every one of us understand that we are exerting a lot of demand on the earth and it seems the earth is feeling the pinch of meeting all our demands. Many of you will ask me what exactly is ecological foot and let me take my time explain to you what it means.
Ecological footprint can be described as our measure of demand on our fragile ecosystems. It is comparative measures of human demand and the capacity of our mother nature, most important our planet earth to regenerate and meet our demands. Ecological footprint measures that biological product land and the seas which are required to regenerate resource that we so much need as human beings. According to the recent scientific estimates, it was shown that we are using the ecological resources 1.3 times faster that the earth can renew it.
