In this study, the main objective of the study was to analyze the feasibility of basic body awareness therapy in helping people with eating disorders. The hypothesis of the study was that Basic Body Awareness Therapy has the ability to induce a positive effect in patients experiencing eating disorders compared to patients in a controlled condition (Catalan-Matamoros, Helvik-Skjaerven, Labajos-Manzanares, Martínez-de-Salazar-Arboleas, & Sánchez-Guerrero, 2011).   This means that  study sought to look into the effectiveness of using Basic Body Awareness Therapy to treat people with eating disorders and to explore how Basic Body Awareness Therapy affect the symptoms of the condition.
