Description
Cultural practices involve the values and beliefs that are inherited from the family and the society at large. Family, as the basic unit of the society, is the most important conduit of cultural values and practices. While cultural conflict is not likely to be a major problem ina homogenous society, it is a challenge in a heterogeneous society. Even when living in a heterogeneous society, a family always strives to maintain its cultural practices and values. This is evident in the movie Bend It Like Beckham where the family of Punjab Sikhs living in London experiences cultural conflicts through the conducts of their daughter.
