Both qualitative and quantitative research designs are significant in a research as they describe the study objectives which on the hand unswervingly encompass and reflect the research questions. Quantitative research is used to identity ideas or phenomenon to be studies in a project just as the qualitative research is used. Both of them are used to reinforce the problem statement in projects through questionnaires that seeks to get relevant information from the respondents. For example, in a qualitative design, research questions that are related to the ideas of study are proposed and stated. Moreover, research questions and the way they will be answered in a qualitative research are supported by a problem statement (Patton, 2002).
