COMMUNICATIONS (HUMAN RESOURCES)

COMMUNICATIONS (HUMAN RESOURCES)

Communication is one of the most important disciplines that look into the behavior of people as they relate with one another.  As a discipline the existence of Communication or Human Relations can be traced back to 1947 when the Tavistock Institute and the Research Center for Group Dynamic together founded the discipline with a belief that social scientists should come together and contributed their knowledge in each discipline in order to understand the complexity and the character of human problems in their every day relations.

COMMUNICATIONS (HUMAN RESOURCES)

(Thomson, 2007)  Human relation is founded on the principles that there is no any one single discipline that can give solution to the problem that people face in their daily relations and therefore there is need to put in place the contribution by different disciplines in order to come up with one discipline which puts together contribution from different disciplines.

COMMUNICATIONS (HUMAN RESOURCES)

Human relations are a discipline which is designed to produce personnel with career in human services. The discipline combine studies from different fields including psychology, human relations, communication and research. (Melvin, 1997)
