In Broken Child, we are brought to reality of the life young children in our country as a contrast of what we would have expected in a prosperous. The documentary is given as an account of “neglected lives” in our country. The documentary helps us to understand the problem of drugs in the society and how it is affecting families that have been pushed to the situation by poverty and denial. While the larger society my be viewing drugs as a problem of the adults only, this documentary shows us that it is also a problem of the young as well. Parents who are under the influence of drugs have failed to perform their parenting duties and neglected the young ones.
