Child Development 5-8 Years
- The size of the head is much like that of a grown up; the child starts to shed off the deciduous (baby) teeth (Lindon, 1993, pp. 20)
- The proportion of the body is much like that of an adult; the binocular vision and visual tracking are developed (Berk, 2002, pp 51)
- The child can perform tasks such as dressing and undressing; the child may be able to take of him/herself with regard to toilet usage; have orientation towards plain foods and wider selection of foods and in most cases the appetite is large.
