Description

Smartphones are mobile phones that combine the features of a phone and those of a computer, such as the operating system, digital camera, media player, personal digital assistance and the GPS navigation unit (Viardot, 2004). Smartphones have a touch-screen user interface, and they can access the internet at a very high speed and can run third-party apps. They became widely used in the 21 century, and they have undergone progressive advancement. For example, most of the smartphones produced from 2013 onwards have mobile payment services, motion sensors, and high-speed mobile broadband 4G (Ojeda-Zapata, 2010).
