Management is all about interacting with others and influencing them to accomplish organization goals. Communication becomes central for a leadership to be successful in having a working organization. While reading an article by Bakar and Aman (2005) I realized that leader-member exchange models calls for cordial hierarchical relationship between superiors and subordinates. Due to time and authority pressure, leaders may form close relationship with few key subordinates or the inner group which tends to alienate the rest or the out-group. Since the leader is responsible for the performance of the whole group, leaders must for close relationship with all subordinates.
