Market research is the process through which business collects data that helps in making business decision. Any decision made by the business has an impact on the market and therefore it should be driven by the market. That is why for a company like Asda, market research is important before deciding to place bid for Netto.  There are different methods of data collection and the suitability of each method depends on the target population. The following are three viable market research methods that Asda could have used before making a bid for Netto:
