Chinese calligraphy remains one of the most influential in the Asia region and around the world. The calligraphy was not only a piece of work but also the artists became influential role models to the upcoming artists and to other people. They had immense social influence and most of them even ascended into political roles owing to their connection with the people through art. One of the most influential artists of the time was Yan Zhenqing (颜真卿, 708~784 CE). Zhenqing was a role model of integrity for all the Chinese intellectuals. Yan Zhenqing (颜真卿, 708~784 CE) created greater political connections and died as a part of the rebel force. The objective of this study is to review the life of Yan Zhenqing (颜真卿, 708~784 CE), including his most influential works and how he became a role model for generations to learn why his work was important and why he remains an everlasting role model for generations.
