Elementary Reading

Reading is required by each individual for development hence the basic things have to be taught in a systematic sequence. The teacher has to be adaptable and program used flexibly to incorporate students with intellectual disabilities (Hand, 1969). Curriculum Guides.

  2. To build concepts and promote language growth
  3. To develop within children a concept that they are accepted and capable of achieving
  4. To build vocabulary

    1. Develop the meaning of groups: Have two groups one with six apples and the other with two apples, ask students to indicate the large group (Blair & Hughes, 2001).
